Art is a spectrum is an inclusive space for all children.

They don’t need to be diagnosed or be neurodivergent to be in this class.

I’ve designed this program with the intention to give a safe place to all children because they all deserve a safe place to coexist and be creative in their own expression.

I have had 15 years working with children in a multitude of spaces, from movement based classes, to behaviour interventionalist work, in schools, as an early childhood educator, and teaching these classes, in all spaces I have cultivated a safe space for all children.

In this class you can expect:

❤️ Children to be able to move and talk and stim as needed while creating.

❤️ Children creating art as a group with instructions -however, there is no expectation to create something that looks the same or any certain way.

❤️ Children using tools without shame. Like fidgeting, headphones, wipes or gloves to help avoid sensory overwhelm with materials, children just watching or talking, children adding their hyperfixations into their artwork, children sharing their ideas, creativity and joys with a croup.

❤️ Children expressing themselves through art in a safe place

Each week I will provide a new project and new art material for us to use and learn. We will learn how to respect the art supplies and create with creative freedoms.

This is an art class and I will be teaching them art and I have reasonable expectations for participation and will teach to each individual abilities.
